Dr McDonald is a Sunshine Coast local who first became a Registered Nurse before completing a teaching degree.
Then having decided upon medicine as her preferred career path she dedicated herself to General Practice. She has been practicing on the Sunshine Coast for over 20 years. She is passionate about being a family doctor. She has an interest in all aspects of General Practice from antenatal care to aged care, from travel medicine to skin checks and treatment of skin lesions. She worked as an examiner with the Royal Australian College of General Practice for 10 years.
Now she enjoys her role as a GP Registrar supervisor – educating, mentoring and supporting the next generation of doctors.
Outside of work she enjoys spending quality time with her extended family.
Available to do Yellow fever vaccinations.
Dr Stephanie Miles

Dr Miles is a GP registrar who has recently relocated to Sunshine Coast from rural NSW, where she started her GP training. Prior to this, Stephanie was working in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital.
Stephanie is passionate about Men and Women’s Health, Paediatrics, Travel Medicine, and Preventative Healthcare.
Stephanie is enjoying caring for the Sunshine Coast community and exploring the local area.
Dr Katrina Neal
MBBS, MCounselling
Dr Neal is a GP with more than 30 years of professional experience.
She has a particular interest in mental health as well as in prevention, women’s health and paediatrics. She is also interested in lifestyle issues and the promotion of good health and believes that a strong community and community connection is the answer to good mental health.
She loves to Tango and cycle and as a vegetarian has a particular interest in Middle Eastern cooking. She has studied and taught in the US, published “How to be your own doctor sometimes”, and is very committed to teaching people how to look after themselves to stay healthy.
Dr Mai Yamanaka
MD
Dr Yamanaka completed her medical degree (MD) in 2020 and has returned to the Sunshine Coast, her hometown since childhood, as a GP Registrar.
She completed her post-graduate resident training at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and has worked as a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Registrar and Orthogeriatric Rehabilitation Registrar in Brisbane and Sydney prior to commencing GP training.
She has interest in all areas of general practice. To Dr Yamanaka, there is no place like home - the Sunshine Coast, and she is excited to provide care for the local community.
Dr Yamanaka is fluent in Japanese and intermediate level in Korean.
